Look like a south coming through later today. Bouncing between going up to sheboygan after work or south metro pier beach in oak creek as its very local to me. Either way should be lookin to get out around 5-6pm if its not too offshore or gusty.

Today is a tough decision. If it really turns SSW or S this afternoon, Bradford would work. Sheboygan is more likely, as long as it stays sunny. If it stays SW the swamp is fine, but you can't crash the kite as the weeds will not let you relaunch. For SW with someone not staying upwind or crashing the kite, Delevan or Winnebago are the better bets.
Me thinks south at Oak Creek would be off shore. That beach actually runs a little NNW.
Appreciate the insight as always stafford. Will keep an eye on it and hope to head to sheboygan after work.
I can stay upwind now but can't be certain I won't dive the kite into the weeds a couple times to that will rule out the swamp. For future refrence though, is the launch site on the swamp a drift launch at boxhorn?
How about launch sites on delevan or winnebago?
Thanks!
Going to try Bradford now
@Conn O'Farrell How was Bradford?
I got out in sheboygan. There was maybe a dozen kiters when i got there but maybe only 2 left in the water. As a begineer the choppy waves and gusty winds were tough to navigate but I still got out for an hour with a walk of shame at the end and had a blast.
To add to that, I was on a 12m slingshot rally but looking at the wind readings from last night I probably should have been on a 9m. Becasue the wind was between ssw and s i think the shorline ate up the wind close to shore so i needed the 12m to get out past the shorebreak, but once out on the water I was pretty overpowered.
Glad you got to ride Mitch! That is great. I went to Delevan as I had some stuff to do out that way already. had to ride a hydrofoil as it was too gusty to make it through the lulls on a tt.
@Mitchell Noyes
Bradford was good. A little gusty, but great evening for it.
