  • Any recommendations on a lake to wing at with the NW wind?

  • Tomorrow looking good in afternoon for inland lakes including Swamp, Bigfoot Beach, Delevan, Pike, Windybago and possibly others...;  Silver & Andrea will not be so good...  I'll be enjoying my back yard.  Though, frankly, Andrea would work with a wing.  Conn, if you want to wing my back yard with me for a while, raft departs my shore around noon... ;)

  • @Jeff Vkoeberl yeah that works. Which lake is your back yard?

  • @Conn O'Farrell Little Muskego.  I just sent you a message in the forum letting you know how to reach me for tomorrow.  Let me know if you did not get it, didn't want to publish phone or address on public site.

  • Anyone heading to the swamp today?

  • @Jeff Vkoeberl Hi. Today I was at Little Muskego and at Muskego. Didn't find any kiters.

  • @serdiuk.alexander Conn and I winged for a couple hours, no kites today.  Conn apparently recently began winging, and he is already very advanced!  So, technically there were a couple kiters on the water, but we didn't use lines today.. . ;)

BTW: If you want to kite my back yard (Little Muskego) see me.  Not the best kiting lake, except from my island.

    Good day today!!

  • Big M was a bust today. Took me 15 mins to launch threw the weeds after my kite hung and hovered over the water and didn't want to go up. It's probably the worst I can remember the weeds being this early in the season.

Once the kite was up, the Gustmonster was in full force. Was on a 10m and small board as it was honking when I got there. It was actually pretty good but only for 15 mins, and then the wind almost disappeared completely.

The saving grace was I was able to make it to the dock and a bloke in the parking lot was able to land me to save me from dealing with the weeds again.

It's gonna be a tough summer at the Swamp unless there are others to launch/land or somehow the weeds near the dock get chewed up some more by boats.

  • Wind was WNW arount noon, but NW-NNW by 2:30, in case you were windering Ryan.
