Got out for a foil at South Shore at 11 before some family obligations today. Surprised by the consistency of the wind today as it was definitely not forecasted to be steady 20+ all day.
Looks like it's still going out there so get after it!
The new beach is still under construction but I was able to self launch and land from the little sand that is already there. Once they fill the rest in with sand I am thinking the new beach will be just as good if not better than the old beach. The waterline is less rocky and the beach drops off to chest deep quickly which helps for foiling.

I got out today too. Lit on 10m. Only lasted about 45 min with the cold temps and drizzle. Wind was great.
Quick update for anyone considering the new parawings for foiling. I got an Ensis Roger, which only comes in 3M so far. You will need something over 20 knots to get on foil (I weigh 170). Problem for me and my 70 year old knees is getting up as parawing doesn't really lift you. You younger guys may find it easier to deal with that. Once up the parawing will feel very familiar to those used to foil kites, though VERY responsive and immediate (suggest some practice on land until you can operate without watching it). Fun to play with, but suggest not trying it unless you have intermediate foiling skills and can foil without kite/wing supporting you.
The big surprise for me was the difficulty if the parawing ends up in the water - be prepared for difficulty there. While it doesn't really tangle too bad if you are reasonably careful, the canopy fills with water and becomes very difficult to manage (maybe worse than your foil kite since it will be on you and your board...). Some practice relaunching in shallow water advised, easy to relaunch once you have leading edge high enough and clear enough.
These are intended for downwing foiling, and that means they can point pretty high and get you up wind effectively. Then downwind, the idea is to pack away and just foil until needed again. I am NOT there yet, but could see several of you (Jeff, Stafford...) really enjoying this new option.
