  • Back from Spain/Portugal tonight, seems I have snuck up on some warm SW wind Monday & Tuesday.  Tuesday looks AWESOME, swamp should work.  My back yard lowered for annual drawdown signifigantly, expect swamp to be a bit deeper than average.

  • Either Bradford or grant for me today.  Probably head out around 12

  • At Bradford now. Wind seems steady, gonnna rig a 13m.

Those damn stakes are in the sand now though

  • Grant is decent.  A little up and down but no stakes.  14m for me is working well.

  • Sheboygan was very nice. Wind was all over the place but had it's moments.

  • Decent showing at Bradford on a 13m. The wind was up and down more than usual but also had it's moments Jeff.

Also, first time wearing the 5/4 wetsuit for months. Had booties on but warm enough for no gloves. More days coming up!

  • I broke my leg so won't be kiting for a long  time.  get some good rides in for me!

  • Back yard sucked, should have driven to Grant.  Tomorrow and Wednesday looking much better, but enough west to keep us inland methinks...

  • Muskego area wind getting there, swamp should be on.  SW today and tomorrow is forecast, with Thursday more west.  Each day could be 20-30 or more according to NOAA.  My back yard should work, but with water lowered 2+ feet this winter getting in & out will be interesting.

  • Heading over to the swamp around noon. Watch the wind in the parking lot. May be very gusty...consider a drift launch if bad. Water is probably freezing too despite very warm air temps

  • Hoping for a speedy recovery Stafford! We'll set some Woo records in your honor!!

  • Stafford - sorry to hear, let me know of you need a lift to the polls as you DON'T want to miss that!!  However, would need to bring you to vote early as I am a Poll Worker and expect a long day... ;)

Jeff, wind up about a force, I'm heading out in back yard.  Water temp in back yard mid 50's, should be similar at swamp.  Enjoy!!

  • Wind down a little as afternoon progressed, but AWESOME day inland with more to come over next two days!

  • Wind was ok at the swamp...a tad too much south. Gusty but ridable.

    Fast recovery Stafford!

  • Sorry to hear about your leg, Stafford.  Hoping for a speedy recovery so you can get back on the water soon.

  • By the time I got to Big M a lot of the lads were done and the wind was not as good. Let's just say with the help of some other we avoided a bad launch in the parking lot on a 13m. I then lasted 15 mins on a 10m before I called it quits as the wind was gusting like Pike Lake!

However, I kept my wetsuit on and drove by Bradford on the way home and rode there for 45 mins or so on a slightly on-shore/side shore wind. Was much steadier despite the direction, I just didn't ride out very far.

The wind is looking similar today. I am going to wait until later this afternoon (3pm-ish) to see if it turns on-shore enough to ride the big pond again!

  • Back yard looking good already this morning, heading out with wind SW-WSW

  • Wind better today than yesterday, three hours was all this great-grandpa could register.  Save some for tomorrow...
