Lake Michigan looking good today with south wind. As I had a limited window I did not want to waste travel time, so spent a couple hours wingfoiling in my back yard (Little Muskego). A bit less wind, but with my biggest equipment (120L board, 2000 foil, 7M wing) spent most of my time on foil and grateful for any wind). Swamp probably would have worked. Hope someone else scored today...
Great ride at Bradford today.
Got there prematurely as wind was only pulling 14-16 and side-shore from Noon to about 1:30. Was considering packing up but the clouds cleared completely and wind hit on-shore and HARD. Was solid from 1:45 until I had to go at 3pm.
Was already on a 17m so decided to stick with it (could have easily been on a 13m for that last hour though).
North end of beach was a little busy but still open enough to launch and land without any hiccups (one lad helped me land the final time as wind was kicking). Cargo bike is handy for parking right at the spot where I launched. Fun day!
Got up to Shebygan on saturday. There was a ton of kiters out there and was really fun. Started out in the morning on a 12m with a big board and when I went out in the afternoon the wind had picked up like Ryan said and pumped up a 9m with a big board but looking back should have stuck with the 12m and a small board. Super good session, got up in the air for the first time which was exilerating even though it was only a couple feet off the water and landed on my butt lol
