  • Where's best to kite on the W SW direction? Hoping to get out around 5.30pm.

  • Big Muskego is the best combo of close to the city of Milwaukee, free of boat traffice and ideal for SW wind.  The negatives are the weeds are bad, if you crash the kite in many places, it may not come back up.  Also, the launch is tough.  If you don't have someone to help you launch and land, then you'll have to drift launch by walking out in the silty, muddy bottom.

  • Wind is mostly west today, and not as much as advertised in Muskego.  Basically 8-11 mph with brief gusts for past 2 hours. Hope it improves, or I'll spend afternoon bobbing like a cork with my biggest wing equipment.  If you are at the swamp you may hear me complaining....

  • My back yard proveded a few hours of mostly foiling, but when frustrated I expect the swamp several miles away could hear my displeasure.  However, even a sub-par day on the water beats whining on shore.
