Mitchell, I can't imagine SSYC is possible on NW. Yes it is technically side shore but because of the shape of Milwaukee, NW at SSYC is going to be extremely turbulent. My rule of thumb is 2 miles of upwind clear space for good clean wind.
2 miles upwind from SSYC in a NW lands you in walkers point :)
Same thing for Big Muskego on NW. 9 out 10 times it's garbage. Hope that helps judge locations and wind quality
For NNW wind on Lake Michigan, an adventurous experienced kiter can launch Chapla (SP?) Park immediately south of Cliffside Park in Racine. On summer days years past with help I have kited there. This time of year not optimal for kiting, but I wingfoiled there last year a couple times. Bit of work to get equipment in and out, but once on the water it is a joy.
